Luxurious Alpaca Products
For unique gift ideas, come visit us today at Kensington Prairie Farm!
Catherine Simpson and Jim Dales established Kensington Prairie Farm in 2000 on five acres of land in Surrey, BC in an area historically known as Kensington Prairie County. The couple began their alpaca adventure with12 alpacas, having since grown to over 65 animals after relocating to the historic 248th Otter Trail in 2006.
In addition to breeding and raising alpacas, this family-run-farm is home to a luxurious boutique. During the open hours, the public is encouraged to come meet the alpacas and to take a self-guided tour of the farm, which is home to polled hereford cattle, chickens, ducks and resident eagleS. Our on-farm boutique features a wide selection of luxurious, high quality alpaca fibre products including coats, sweaters, socks, scarves, hats, gloves, home décor products and yarn.
Ethically raised beef and alpaca meat products are also available, including 10 different varieties of alpaca sausage!
In addition, KPFarm Custom Agricultural Services produce high quality hay and silage and offers custom forage production services to area farmers.
Book a Private Tour
Private tours are available from Monday – Thursday, email info@kpfarm.com to book yours!
During private tours, our visitors are given a hands-on experience with the alpacas and are given ample time to shop in our luxurious boutique. Tours begin with an educational session on alpacas, including: their origin, their lifespan and the process of fibre to fashion. The participants are then given the opportunity to get up-close-and-personal with the animals, often with the opportunity of feeding them. Proceeds from the tours go to Quechua Benefit, a children’s charity in Peru.
